Getting started

Powering the machine

  1. Plug the AC adapter into the DC IN jack on the back of the unit.
  2. Plug the adapter into a wall outlet.
  3. Press Power to turn the unit on.

Connecting to Wi-Fi

  1. Tap CONNECT on the home screen.
  2. Select your Wi-Fi network from the list.
  3. Enter your Wi-Fi password and confirm.

Note: This machine supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only. If your router uses WPA3, try switching to WPA2.

Connecting microphones

  • Wireless mics: Insert 2× AA batteries into each microphone and power them on.
  • Wired mics (optional): Plug into the MIC jacks on the unit.
  • Adjust microphone volume using the Mic Volume control.

Connecting to a TV or screen

  • Connect an HDMI cable (not included) from the unit's HDMI port to your TV.
  • On your TV, select the matching HDMI input.
  • Note: HDMI outputs video/lyrics only. Audio and microphones do not play through the TV.

Energy saving (Screen Saver / Auto Power)

  • After about 10 minutes of inactivity, the unit may enter Screen Saver mode.
  • After additional inactivity, the unit may power off automatically.
  • Press Power once to wake.

Using the Singing Machine app

What is the Singing Machine app?

The built-in app lets you browse and play karaoke tracks directly on your machine. You can also manage your account and subscription.

What the app includes

  • Unlimited, ad-free access: Enjoy our extensive library of tens of thousands of karaoke songs without interruptions.
  • A world of music: Explore a diverse catalog with multiple languages and styles, including an extensive collection of Disney classics.
  • Adjustable lead vocals: Use the lead vocal track to guide you, or turn it off to take the spotlight.
  • Personalized playlists: Easily browse, queue, and save your favorite karaoke tracks to your account.
  • Free trial included: Activate your 1-month free trial when you subscribe to an eligible plan.

How to activate your free 1-month trial

  1. Open the app – Tap the Singing Machine Karaoke app on the home screen of your karaoke machine.
  2. Welcome pop-up – You may see a message offering 5 free songs valid for 24 hours. Tap Continue or close the pop-up to proceed to your free trial.
  3. Start your subscription – Tap Subscribe Now. If you already have a subscription, go to Account and select Login.
  4. Use your phone – Scan the QR code on the screen, or visit store.stingray.com/singingmachine/tv and enter the code shown on the screen.
  5. Choose your plan – Select a plan that includes a 1-month free trial.
  6. Create your account & checkout – Finish account setup and confirm checkout. Your 1-month free trial starts automatically and your machine activates right away.

Playing karaoke using the app

  • Open the Singing Machine Karaoke app on the machine.
  • Follow the on-screen steps to sign in and select a song.
  • Lyrics appear on the unit's touch screen (and on the TV if connected via HDMI).
  • Audio plays from the unit's built-in speakers.
  • Press REC to record your performance to a USB drive.
  • Use Lights and Voice Effects to enhance your performance.

Other ways to play karaoke

  • Bluetooth audio from other apps (YouTube, Spotify, etc.)
  • USB playback – play recorded files from a USB drive
  • Line-In (AUX) – connect another device via 3.5mm cable (not included)
  • CD/CD+G: Not supported on this model.

Troubleshooting app-related issues

The app will not connect to the machine

  • Confirm the unit is connected to Wi-Fi.
  • Restart the unit (press and hold Power to turn off, then turn back on).
  • If your network uses WPA3, try switching your router to WPA2.

No sound when using the app

  • Turn up Music Volume.
  • If using external speakers, confirm they are connected to Line Out and powered on.

Lyrics are not showing on the TV

  • Confirm the HDMI cable is firmly connected on both ends.
  • Confirm the TV is set to the correct HDMI input.

My free trial is not appearing

  • The free trial is only activated when you subscribe for the first time directly on your karaoke machine. If you subscribed through the mobile app instead, cancel that subscription through Apple/Google and re-subscribe using the machine.
  • Make sure you selected a plan that includes the 1-month free trial.
  • Sign out and sign back in, then check Account.

General troubleshooting

The machine will not power on

  • Confirm the AC adapter is connected to DC IN and the wall outlet.
  • Try a different outlet.

Machine keeps turning off

The unit may be entering Screen Saver or Auto Power mode due to inactivity. Press Power to wake.

No sound or distorted sound

  • Increase Music Volume.
  • If using Line-In, lower the volume on the connected device (recommended: about 1/3).

Bluetooth will not connect or keeps disconnecting

  • On your phone or tablet, forget the device and re-pair.
  • If prompted for a PIN, enter 0000.

Missing or broken parts

Your ISM9025 box should include wireless microphones and an AC adapter. If any parts are missing or broken, here is how to resolve it.

Microphones

If a microphone is missing, contact our team with your original receipt and we will be happy to sort this out. Here is the form: Submit a request.

If it seems to be broken, please ensure that you did all the troubleshooting steps before reaching out. You can also purchase a replacement microphone from our online store.

AC Adapter

If the AC adapter was missing from the box, you can purchase a replacement directly from our online store, or use a compatible adapter you already own. Any replacement must meet these requirements:

  • Output Voltage: 15V DC
  • Output Current: 1.5A (or higher is also safe)
  • Polarity: Positive Center

When searching online, a term like "15V 1.5A power adapter" should help find suitable options.
